Shipping Questions for our Australian Fishing Tackle and international
Deliveries. Q) What are our freight and handling charges? A) Our freight and handling charges can be found by
clicking here Q) How long will it take
to receive my order? A) Firstly it depends on
what method of payment you choose, Delivery once payment is confirmed is between
1-14 days for Australia wide deliveries depending on your location. Obviously
the more remote places that don't have a mailing centre for hundreds of
kilometres for example are sometimes going to be the deliveries that can take up
to 14 working days. For international Deliveries please email us for an
estimated delivery time. Q) Can I order a fishing
rod for international Delivery? A) No not normally, most
rods are not shippable via air mail. If you are after a fishing rod in a 6 foot
or 6 foot 6 inch size (2 piece models) some times we can ship these and
you are welcome to email us to check. If you want larger fishing rods than
this size for international delivery we can send them but prefer not to as the
cost of freight can generally cost $300- 500 in which we will need to recover
from you first but as you can see this is really not viable.
Out of stock items Q) What if the items I
order are out of stock? A) We generally carry
good levels of stock for most of our online products however in the event that
we are out of stock of an item if we have more on the way we will backorder the
products for you and ship the items a few days later when they arrive. In the
event that all of your order is out of stock and are unable to obtain new stock
quickly, we will inform you and ask if you would like us to hold the order,
cancel or refund the order if already paid for. Q) Do we carry stock of
all items listed on hand? A) no, we do not carry
on hand all listed items, we do have close to most items in stock however we
some times do not have in stock expensive products such as some of the Shimano
Reels like the Shimano Stella and Tiagra reels for example which has a big price
ticket. We generally do not sell enough of these to warrant us keeping them on
hand, but we do have them on offer at our best prices and get them in usually
the next day before we then pack and ship the item directly to you. So there is
not a big delay.
Pricing Q) If I live local to
the business are the prices the same in the shop as they are online? A) No, some of the
items are the same price but most often cheaper than in store. Our
reasoning for this is we are trying to achieve sales on a national level by
offering discounted prices online. Q) Can I have the same
price as online if I just come into the store? A) No, if you live local
you cannot come into the store and expect the same level of pricing. You may
however place an order online and have the order delivered to your door or there
is a pick up option available in our checkout but to obtain the national pricing
level you must order online. Q) What is domestic
pricing? I have seen a button on the site. What does this mean? A) Domestic Pricing is
the price that is available to all Australian Deliveries. Q) What is International
Pricing? I have seen a button on the site. What does this mean? A) this is the price
available to shipments outside of Australia, You will see this is cheaper than
domestic pricing and the reason for this is that it is discounted to exclude
Goods and Services Tax. International deliveries outside Australia if paid for
also outside Australia do not pay GST so this is removed from the price.
Payment A) We accept Paypal,
Credit Card, Money Order, Direct Deposit, Cheque, Cash On Delivery. Q) Why can't I pay
directly with my credit card if I am outside of Australia? A) You can but have to
use the paypal third party payment gate way. Q) Why does pay pal have
to be used for international payments? A) Because we get
several attempts from international customers to place large orders with either
stolen or fraudulent credit cards. Pay Pal verifies the buyer to be true and
legitimate. As it is harder to prove authenticity of an international customer
manually this is why you must use pay pal. If your order is very large for an
international transaction we may ask you to pay only with Telegraphic Transfer. Q) If I want delivery to
an Australian address and want to pay with credit card do I have to use Pay Pal? A) No, but we prefer you
to as this is the fastest method of approval for the order as it proves the
authenticity or of the buyer, the card, and we can ship your goods quickly. We
have a secure payment server if you do wish to pay direct with credit card and
not use the pay pal gateway. This is ok but if we believe your order is large or
there is a risk of it being fraudulent we will ask you to prove identity by
several means and fill in authorisation forms. We have state of the art
fraud detection software and our software will pick up any risk before
determining the procedures we will take to verify authenticity.
